ALED deals with mature themes that reflect the reality of the human experience (even though not all of our characters are technically human). This reality includes violence, drugs, and sex.

The characters talk about and consider many different aspects of sexual identity and behavior, drug use and abuse, and at least one of them is in dire need of anger management therapy.
